After allegations arose about aggressive behavior with Clay Middle School Assistant Coach and Deputy Kyle Ware, Ware resigned from both positions. There was an altercation between two students on the wrestling team that were broken up and accusations are that Ware became too aggressive with one of those students. After hearing the student’s side of the story, Clay County School Board officials took an action they felt was proper in this situation.
Ware resigned from assistant coach at the Monday evening Board of Education Meeting, as well as resigning from his position as Deputy Sheriff officially at Wednesday’s county commission meeting. Bob Morris also resigned as head wrestling coach at the middle school on Monday. Allegations are that he didn’t report the situation in proper timing. More information will be available as the issue develops.
