The first County Commission meeting of the year on Thursday was brief and to the point. Strictly business, the first item on the agenda was to re-elect Mike Pierson as the President of the County Commission for the year 2014. The 2014 meeting dates were set for the second and fourth Wednesday of each month beginning at 10:00 am in the commission room of the new courthouse. It was voted and agreed that the meeting agendas must be posted 72 hours prior to each meeting. And lastly, the courthouse business hours were set for the year; each office will be open Monday-Friday from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. As quickly as it began, the meeting was over in a flash. The next scheduled meeting of the commission is Wednesday, January 8.
