A home in Hartland had a very rude awakening Saturday morning. At around 8:00 am the Paige family was resting peacefully when a loud noise awoke the family. Traveling outside to investigate, the residents found a pickup truck had rammed the side of their home. The three occupants inside the vehicle had no identification, no registration and no insurance. The Clay Fire Department as well as the West Virginia State Police responded to the scene. The driver of the vehicle told police he thought the driveway was the road to Sissonville. Thankfully no one inside the home was injured, although extensive damage was done to the yard and corner of the home.
