Mike Asbury was named Democrat of the Year by the local Democratic Executive Committee. “Asbury has all that we want in a Democrat, he contributes to the community, he’s a good Christian and supports the high school and he’s not a Republican.” states Democratic County Chair, Glen Sutton. There were two nominated but Asbury won the majority vote. “I am honored to be named. I do what I can for the community and the people of Clay” said Asbury. Asbury is to be presented with his award October 12th.
