The Clay County Commission met on Wednesday, April 8, 2015. Commissioner Linkinoggor moved to approve the Erroneous Assessments as presented by the assessor. Tucker made a motion to correct Brent Spradling’s term of appointment as a member of the Clay County Business Development Authority to expire on April 11, 2018. The correction changed the date from April 11, 2017 to April 11, 2018 for a three year term. Linkinogger then moved to approve a maintenance agreement for a Savin C9020 located in the Sheriff’s office in the amount of $630.42, beginning on March 24, 2015 thru March 23, 2016. Tucker also moved to approve a request by the Clay County Business Development Authority to removing Shawn Bass as a member due to his moving out of state.
Next on the agenda, Linkinoggor entered a motion to remove Arlene Tucker from the BDA board for nonattendance and nonsupport. The Commissioners then moved to appoint Greg Fitzwater as a member of the BDA for an unexpired term ending June 30,2016.
Commissioner Linkinogger moved to approve an audit report of the Clay County Board of Health for the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2014. Tucker then moved to approve a quote in the amount of $37,944.00 from the WV County Risk Pool for the Clay County Ambulance Service property, liability, automobile insurance and workers comp. The policy is effective July 1, 2015 thru June 30, 2016.
A reminder for the Health Fair on April 14, 2015 from 7:30AM-11:00AM at the Clay County Health Department was announced. The Elk River Fest is coming up in June and volunteers are needed. Payne Warner, Field Representative for Congressman Alex Mooney was in attendance and said they are available if anyone needs help or have questions regarding Veterans, the IRS, Social Security, etc.
