County Commission Approves Resolution for Pack Fork and Independence Road Water Line

Clay County Commission meeting held July 13,2016 was a long one. After the previous meeting minutes, and the bills and purchase orders as presented, were approved, there were only four action items left on the agenda. A budget revision for the office of #412-Agricultural Agent. The last will and testament of Dale Ross Metheney and the appointment of Jennifer Ross Miller, Executor was approved. The commission approved the issuance of salary checks for Karen Nichols for Fiscal Year 2016-2017.
The final action item was the approval of Resolution No. 10 authorizing payment of invoices relating to design, construction and other services for the Pack Fork and Independence Rd water line extension project. In the next 60-90 days it should be to the point that contractors can start bidding on the project.
It was stated in the county commission meeting that 172 homes were damaged from the flood.
