Local racing legend Cooter Thorne received awards this year at the annual awards banquet in Fairplain. Cooter was named Rookie of the Year as well as Track Champion for the year 2013 in the semi modified class at the I- 77 raceway. If you’re interested in some racing action, they will be changing from Saturday nights to Friday Nights. Cooter would like to thank his sponsors Pierson Lumber, Frank’s Well Service and Shaffer’s Equipment.
