Need a new hobby? The Clay County Quilter’s Group is looking for members. The group currently meets on the second Saturday of each month in the basement of the library at 10 am. During the meetings, a variety of quilting techniques are practiced making the experience enjoyable for everyone. During the first hour of the gathering, participants will hand quilt to complete a quilt that is already in the frame. After wards, the second hour is spent piecing a sewing new quilt blocks. If you’d prefer one activity over the other, that’s fine too – just come do whichever you enjoy. The group strives to have fun doing what they love to do while enjoying the fellowship of other quilters. If you have questions or wish to join the Clay County Quilter’s Group, call Kay Battles at 587-2597.
