There is much more good in the world than bad, and that’s been evident in the past few weeks. After a break in at the Christian Service Center earlier in the month, the outpouring of support and donations has been tremendous. Just this week John Ballengee, CEO of United Way, paid a visit to the Christian Service Center to deliver more assistance. Bringing a car full of groceries and a generous donation check to the center, United Way is one of many organizations who have come to the rescue. Owners Tom and Freda Auxier say the kindness of the community has been extremely heartwarming and that special thanks go out to Debra & Bob Grose, Kimberly & David Mallory, Mitchell H. (Mike) King, Dennis K. and Carol L. Flaherty, James A & C.A. Huddleston, John R. Wilson Jr., Marylee & Jerry Fugate, Elizabeth Utt, John W. & Janet S Johnson, Victor United Methodist Church, CK & Debra K. Sullivan, Alice E. & Jeffery Foster, Tom Blake, Jim & Jeannie Perdue, Eric W & Beverly Elkins, Ed & Ellyn Goldberg from “Robs Fund”, Memorial United Methodist Church, Teri Kerns, Sharon L. Lilly, The United Way of Central WV, Patrick Weaver, Lynn Ramono, Chris Moffett, Tristen Duffield, Cunningham Energy and Nina Bess & Friends for their generosity. No charges have been filed in connection to the stolen groceries.
