The CCMS Lady Mustang volleyball tryouts were held and approximately twenty girls came to give it all they had in hopes of becoming a 2013 Lady Mustang volleyball player. The hopefuls lined the walls at each end of the court and served, dug, and tried to show their abilities and their willingness to give a hundred percent effort in order to make this season a great one. They will have to really work hard this season to match previous seasons.
In the end, fourteen girls were chosen to represent the Clay County Mustangs. Coach Gail Simons returns as head coach of the Mustangs and is very excited about this year’s team. The girls are fired up and ready to play and will do what it takes to keep the Lady Mustangs at the top of the food chain in volleyball. Their first scrimmage will be at Geary School at 6pm this Thursday night, and their season will start in earnest September 16 at home against Geary. Good luck Lady Mustangs! Come out folks, and show your support.
