It was just the right amount of clouds and dust for baseball and softball action this past Saturday as youth from all over the county brought their game faces to the diamonds of Dundon.
Due to the efforts of volunteers, the fields were cleaned up and ready to play for Super Saturday. Softball and Tee ball officially started the 2019 Little League season, and the minor and major league teams were in action later on in the day. Dundon was a park it where you can event as the place was full of fans and players. Teams from Valley Fork and Lizemore T-Balled it up first on the diamond and Clay, Procious and Ivydale teams squared off later on. These were games full of action and screaming fans – the perfect Saturday and a good start of the season. Visit the Clay County Little League page on Facebook to see the schedule of games. Bring your chairs and have a hotdog; it’s time to play summer ball.
