The Panthers are playing pretty good baseball but are having a tough time getting the wins. Hoover was on the firing line early in the week at home on one of the few days the sun was involved in. Hoover is always a tough game for the Panthers, and this one would be no different. The Huskies were on Panther turf, and the Huskies came out swinging the bats and scoring runs. The Panthers got back on track and started to hit the ball but left runners on bases not able to get the hits needed for runs. When the dust settled, it was the Huskies over the Panthers 0-7. After that loss, which was a tough one, the Panthers hosted Roane County. This game would prove to be different; although some mistakes were made, the Panther bats came alive and they took down the Raiders by the score of 7-6, a close one but a good win for the Panthers. Up next was Nicholas County on their diamond, and the Panthers just couldn’t seem to get the hits to go their way. In the end, it was the Grizzlies over the Panthers by the score of 2-12. There are plenty of games left for the Panthers to get the bugs worked out and get back on a winning track. They play at home against Webster County on Thursday and away at Sherman on Friday. Get out and catch a game before the season winds down to the end. Go Panthers!
