The CCMS boys’ baseball team was on the road this week and are squashing the competition.

The Mustangs set their sights on a big win at the Guyan Valley Tournament. The Mustangs got a bye in the first round and had to play Wahama in the semis. The Mustangs did some good ball playing but couldn’t rack up the numbers to beat Wahama.  They regrouped for the final game for third place against Guyan Valley.  Regroup is what they did – firing on all cylinders, they brought out the big sticks and beat Guyan Valley 18-0 to take third place in the tournament.  Andrew Adkins and Collin Cottrell made the All Tournament team, a testament to their skill and team playing. The Mustangs are well on their way to becoming one of the premier middle school teams and the ones to beat.  Go Mustangs.
