Talk about March Madness, CCHS and CCMS are finally gearing up for one of the most action packed and highly fueled basketball and wrestling seasons ever. Since the COVID-19 scare put all sports on hold, Governor Justice has declared that sports will begin in March and what follows is a super condensed season unlike any season yet. If you follow either the Panthers or the Mustangs, March is loaded almost every day with either basketball or wrestling and state championships begin in early April. It will be fast paced with hardly any time to rest. The season is set to kick off on March 3rd when the Panther wrestling team will take their scrapping skills to Fairmont East, and the Lady Panther basketball team will be at home against Webster. The Lady Mustangs will be at home on March 4th to lock horns with Webster Middle. If that isn’t enough for you, all four teams will be playing on Friday, March 5th. The Panthers will play at home against Braxton, the Lady Panthers will be away at Braxton, the Mustangs will be at Braxton and the Lady Mustangs will be at home against Braxton. If you’re not tuckered out by then, the wrestling team will be at Parkersburg and the Panthers will be at home against Hoover on March 6th. So, gear up Clay County fans, our version of March Madness kicks off next week. See you there!
