Logan Vance selected to play in the North-South game

On Saturday, June 13, 2020 CCHS Senior Logan Vance is scheduled be playing in the annual West Virginia North-South All Star football game held at South Charleston High School.  With the uncertainty due to the virus, the game may be delayed until an all clear is given.  This game is the largest All Star game in the state of West Virginia.  Kickoff is set for high noon.

Logan was selected among all three divisions of schools from around the state.  He will match skills against the best competition the state has to offer.  There will be players on both teams from schools such as Single A Midland Trail to Triple A schools such as Martinsburg.  Logan will be a 2020 graduate of Clay County High School.

This will be the third year in a row that CCHS has placed someone on the team.  Ryan Burdette was the first player in 2018 then Caleb Wynn in 2019 and now Logan Vance.  Logan was also named to the 2019 AA All State 1st team.

Logan’s offensive stats for the year were 61 catches for 1280 yards with 24 TD’s on the season.   Logan will practice twice a day for the event and will be staying on campus at West Virginia State University in preparation for the game.  For those who may not be able to go to the game, there is a possibility the game will be televised by WCHS Channel 8.

Logan will continue his football career next season at Glenville State College where he will be a member of the Pioneer football team.  All the CCHS football fans will be watching his football career as it progresses.  Logan will be missed in the ranks next season as his hands will be hard to fill by the next player who takes his position.  There are not too many players with the skill that Logan achieved in his time at CCHS.  We wish him all the best, and he needs no luck at the North-South game. He only needs to get the ball and the rest will be history.
