The Lady Panthers finished their season in action against the Lady Grizzlies this past week in the second game of the LKC Sectional Tournament.

As always, this is a rival game, and the action proved it was nothing short of Custer’s Last Stand for the Lady Panthers.   Points for the Lady Panthers was harder to get than the truth at a liar’s convention.  The Lady Grizzlies beat the Lady Panthers twice in the regular season play. The Lady Panthers came into this game ready to play and literally killed any chance for a win in the first half, scoring just 17 points.  It was fast paced, and the Lady Panther defense was having a tough time defending the Lady Grizzlies.  Lady Panther offense ran the courts and had plenty of opportunity at some shot making but couldn’t get the ball to points to drop.  The second half was a better game for the Lady Panthers, but they couldn’t get out of the ditch they dug in the first half.  When the smoke cleared, the Lady Panthers lost to the Lady Grizzlies by 17 points, making the final score Lady Panthers 50, Lady Grizzlies 67.  It was a growing year for the Lady Panthers and they will be back in the 2019-2020 season and give the fans their money’s worth.
