The CCMS wrestling team participated in one of the biggest tournaments in the state – the Danny Silman Memorial – held at the West Virginia National Guard Armory in Summersville on Friday and Saturday. If you love wrestling, some of the top middle school teams in the state come and put on a fantastic show for wrestling fans. The CCMS team went into the tournament and made themselves known throughout the auditorium as some of the best. Two of the Mustangs were among the top wrestlers. Gabby Belt competed in the all-girls tournament held that morning and placed second in a massive field of wrestlers. Palmer Adkins also placed second in the tournament against some of the best. Congratulations to these two outstanding wrestlers. The team placed 24th all around but let their names be known throughout the event. Mustang wrestling will be back in action at Spencer on Tuesday evening, so come out and support the team.
