It was hot and dusty, just the right ingredients for baseball and softball action this past Saturday as youth from all over the county brought their game faces to the diamonds of Dundon.
Due to the efforts of a few people, the fields were cleaned up and ready to play for Super Saturday. Softball and tee ball officially started the 2017 Little League season, and the minor and major league teams were in action later on in the day. Dundon was a park it where you can event as the place was full of fans and players. The Hurricanes and the Raptors got busy on the softball field and Valley Fork and Lizemore squared off on the tee ball field. It was games full of action and screaming fans – the perfect Saturday and a good start of the season. Visit the Clay County Little League page on Facebook to see the schedule of games.
