The Panther track team travelled to the Richwood Invitational this past week.  Eight teams from around the area competed in all the events.

The Panthers have been enjoying some great competition at meets this season and have done very well. Returning 400 meter state champion Trevor Armes continues to dominate.  He also ran the 100 and the 200 meter and placed first and second. David Tanner brought out the afterburners on the 800 meter run and placed first. Hannah Casto was also smoking the track, placing second in the 200 meter run. Sharina Ratliff placed fourth and Joel Cruikshanks placed third in the 1,600 meter run.

The 4×400 meter boys relay team also placed first; they will be tough to beat at any meet. Nate Canfield placed third in the 800 meter. Other runners rose to the challenge and scored good points for the team. The Panthers placed second overall.

The CCHS track team continues to grow into a force on the track. They will be travelling to Ripley on Monday night, and that will be all for them this week. If you like good running, you will not want to miss the CCHS track team.
