Sophia Boggs was selected as the first place state winner for the 2021 WV Young Writers contest in grades 1-2! Her story “Penny the Penguin’s Problem” was published in the Charleston Daily Mail and she was recognized during WV Young Writers Day on May 7. Sophia is a 2nd grade student in Miss Amanda Douglas’ class at Big Otter Elementary School.
