The final fundraiser for the 911 Center “Coats for Kids” project was a spaghetti dinner held at the Lions Club in Clay on November 7th. With donations and fundraising the effort yielded $2,500. This will help keep 100 Clay County students warm this winter. The 911 Center worked with area schools to reach out to those in need to make sure no child was left in the cold. Students from Lizemores, H.E. White, Clay and Big Otter will receive coats. The remaining funds and coats will be distributed as well as possible gloves and hats. If you would like to donate funds or a new jacket, hat or gloves please visit the Clay County 911 Center.
