Mrs. Kerr and The Clay Co. High School Art Department would like to thank everyone that was involved in the success of the 2013 Clay Co. Golden Delicious Art Auction.
We would like to extend a special thanks to Auctioneer Jeannie Davis for volunteering her time and expertise, the students for their hard work, and the community and parents for helping present the auction and for buying our students artwork.
We appreciate each and every one of the purchases that were made. Your support is very much appreciated. Your generosity was overwhelming. We missed some of our regular supporters and appreciated some new ones. We also observed a moment of silence in remembrance of a long-time supporter; Robert Lanham. He was sadly missed.
There were many people that played a part in the success of the auction, that we would like to thank. We would especially like to thank the spotters; Tammy Wilmoth, Brian Moore, Michelle Frame, and Frankie Kerr, Vera Kelly, Larry Caudill, and David, the county commission for the use of their meeting room, the Golden Delicious Apple Festival Committee for this wonderful opportunity and for supplying the competition ribbons, our Judges; Angela Nicholas, Regina Potasnik, and Joy Miller.. (Jerry Stover was very much missed this year), and a special thanks to Frank Kerr for his continued help and support..
I would also like to extend a special thank you to the students for their hard work and especially to the helpers that came to help the day of the auction.

All of the money goes to the students. The art students will receive a pizza party, a field trip, their cash prizes, and many art supplies with the money generated from the Art Auction.
Also, The C.C.H.S. Art Auction and the Art Department used these funds to present the annual $250.00 scholarship. This student is a previous Clay County High School Art student that is presently enrolled in college and pursuing an art Career.
This year’s recipient was Samantha Johnson a 2013 Graduate of Clay County High School. She is now a freshman at Ohio Wesleyan University. She is working toward a degree in Studio Arts. Congratulations and best wishes, Samantha!
Congratulations to all my students. Thanks again to all those involved.
