You can fall off a ladder

 By Lee Roy Anderson

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, no man cometh unto the father but by him, John 14:6. Jesus is the ladder that reaches from earth to heaven. Compare Genesis 28:12 to John 1:51. And he saith unto him, verily, verily, I say unto you, here after ye shall see heaven open and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the son of man.
You cannot climb a ladder when one foot remains on the earth. See 2 peter 1:9-10. Neither can you appreciatively grow in faith without being completely separated from the world. So surrender all to Jesus and by his blood be cleansed from all unrighteousness and be filled with the holy spirit you can fall off of a ladder.
Demas did:  he was a fellow labourer. Phil 1:24-25. But, he forsook Paul and Jesus having loved this present world. 2 Tim 4:10 He was blinded by things of the world and could not see afar off and had forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefor brethren make sure of your calling. 2 Peter 1:9. When you are on the ladder don’t look down and become blinded by the things of earth. Don’t fall keep looking upward. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross despising the shame and is set down at the right had of the throne of God Hebrew 12:2 Jesus said, no man having put his to the plough and looking back is fit for the kingdom of God. Luke 9:62. Review Hebrew 6:4-6 and 2 Peter 2:20-22.
Remember, For God’s people the sun is not setting. It is rising for God’s people, there are bigger and better things ahead for them.
