Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom, but a man of understanding walketh uprightly.Proverbs.15:21. They that fear not God, joy in folly. They mock at sin and live to satisfy self. They lack understanding. Review the parable of the rich fool, Luke, 12:16-21. The rich fool decided to lay more crops for himself but God called him a fool, for that night his soul was required of him. Life does not consist in the abundance possessions. A man of understanding walketh uprightly, verse 21. He fears God and paths are directed by him. Prov.3:6. He walks not after the flesh , but after the spirit, Romans,8:1, by faith not by sight 2Cor.5:7. Be followers of God as children of God, walk in love as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us, Eph.5:1-2. Walk in Christ, Col.2:6. If we walk in the light as he is in the light we have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus Christ his son cleanseth us from all sin, 1John, 1:7.
Search the scriptures daily, without counsel purpose are disappointed verse22, Let Jesus be your counselor. Search the scriptures daily. They testify of Jesus in him ye have eternal life. All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine for reproof for correction for instruction in righteousness.2tTim. 3:16. They reveal wisdom, they fear and love of God and the path of holiness. They give knowledge of God, of man of life and how to live it. It contains the way of salvation the doom of sinners. Believer it to be holy. Holy purposes prevent sinning. A word spoken in due season, how good is it? Verse23. The tongue of the just is silver the lips of the righteous feed many but fools die for want of wisdom, prov.10:20-21. Let Jesus tame your tongue by purifying your heart of what comes from your tongue reflects what is in your heart. From a pure heart will come words of truth, kindness, purity, mercy, and sympathy. Words do much in Christian work, words of warning encouragement, praise, hope and above all, words of love. A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.Proverbs25:11. Words of gentleness and kindness overcome the most powerful and obstinate. When you have heard all the bad talk to the one who can bring the good?
