You know the devil has two tricks. He will either tell you that you are good enough as you are and you don’t need God, or he will tell you that you are too bad and God can’t help you. But friend, those are two of the biggest lies to ever come from the devil. First, you are not good enough to get into glory, because the bible says, ‘for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God’ (Romans 3:23). ‘You are not too bad because he said, though your sins be as scarlet they shall be white as snow’ (Isaiah 1:18). ‘Ye must be born again’ (John 3:7).
Thank God, I am glad he is in the soul-saving business and he can cleanse us from all sins. The blood of Jesus Christ, God’s son, cleanses us from all sin. You need not allow those lies of the devil keep you from drinking at that fountain. ‘Come and drink today, take the water of life freely’ (Revelations 22:17). Many feel they have gone too far in sin today. They feel they have gone too far and the sins are too great. But thank God, I have good news for you. That fountain is flowing from every individual who is willing to come and take a drink of it. The greatest blessing one can receive other than the blessing of salvation is that of leading another person to Jesus Christ. Why not set out today to become the soul-winner God wants you to be. ‘Though your sins be as scarlet’ (Isaiah 1:18).
It is impossible to think about having fellowship with God until we first face the sin problem. ‘Adam has sinned and come short of the glory of God’ (Romans 3:23). When we honestly face the sin problem in our lives, the invitation from God becomes clear and meaningful. If we say that we have fellowship with God and walk in darkness we lie and do not the truth. ‘But if we walk in the light as is in the light we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his son cleanseth us from all sin’ (John 1:6-7).’ God invites you to be saved. Look unto me and be saved all the ends of the earth for I am God and there is none else’ (Isaiah 45:22). You cannot live wrong and die right.
