Jesus said, heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Matthew 24:35. Isaiah 40:8. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth but the word of our God shall stand forever. Psalm 119:89 says, forever O Lord, they world is settled in heaven. God’s word is eternal. Being born again not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever. 1 Peter 1:23. 1 Peter 1:25 says, but the word of the lord endureth forever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. But the book lives on?
Yes, the Bible had many enemies. They have lived and died – but the book lives on? The Bible is different from ever other book in that it not only tells me where I came from but it also tells me where I am going. Only the Bible tells us about life after death and what lies beyond the grave. I like to study the Bible, the guide book to the country where I am going.
The Bible tells me that if I trust Christ as my savior I can expect him to go with me through this life. The Bible tells me when we see our opportunity to do good and fail to do it we have sinned. James 4:17 says, therefore to him that knoweth to do good and doeth it not to him it is sin. The Bible tells me one day he will give me a new body like his 1John 3:2 and finally give me an everlasting home in that holy city. Hebrews 10:7 says, then said, he Lo, I come in the volume of the book it is written of me to do thy will O God. Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever. Revelation 19:13 called Jesus Christ the name is the word of God.
