One of my favorite questions that people will ask me on occasion is what is God like? I immediately reply, he is like the perfect father anyone can have. For some of us that is a difficult concept to grasp for many reasons. Some of those reasons may be that we did not have a healthy role model as a father, or maybe we did not have the presence of a father in our household at all growing up. It would then be difficult to relate to God as a father because of our past experiences. The Bible tells us that God wants to have a relationship with him as a daughter and son. God is loving, just, kind, and compassionate father. God loves us as his child. How much more shall your father which is in heaven give good things them ask him? See Matthew 7:7. Every good gift and every cometh down from the father of lights, with who is no variableness neither shadow of turning. James 1:17.
With the Ten Commandments and with prayer barred from many American classrooms what is taking their place? Even though most of the nation’s first and most prominent universities were founded in the name of Christianity most of today’s educators are ignoring the foundation of the truth God’s word. Why are the Ten Commandments the source of the true education? They tell us what is right and what is wrong? Christianity is primarily not doctrine but life. It is a new moral creation a saving fact. It was first personally embodied in Jesus Christ, the God –man. It is intended to spread from him to the whole body of the human race to bring it in to fellowship with God. Christianity does not begin with religious views and notions. It comes as a new life, as regeneration, conversion and sanctification set apart from the profane, and made holy for holy use. It releases humanity from the guilty and power of sin and puts us in the right relationship with God. Jesus Christ calls himself the way, the truth and the life. The bible is not a book to be learned but a book of life for everyone, given to us by the Holy Spirit. The apostles had personal contact with the savior. From his birth to his resurrection, they were first –hand observers. Remember nothing the heart gives away is gone. It is kept in the hearts of others.
