For the lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first. 1 Thessalonians 4:16. Jesus is coming soon and he will descend from heaven. He had been there ever since his ascension.
When he went up into heaven two men in white said to the disciples ye men of Galileo, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus which is taken up from you into heaven, shall come in like manner as he have seen him go into heaven. Acts 1:11. Thank God? He is coming back to take his children home to glory. Then there will be no more sorrow, no more tears, no more death, no more bodies racked with pain and no more graves on the hillsides. He is coming back we can expect to be like him. We shall be like him. We certainly are not like him now. We strive to be but many times fall short. But one day we shall be like him. I think deep within each one of us there is that God-given desire or longing to have a perfect body able to defy the forces of weakness sickness, sin, disease and even death. Gods children will have a glorified bodies. Because we shall be like him. Can you imagine living in a body that will be sin-proof, age-proof, disease-proof and even death-proof?
We talk about the aches and pains of the body. But in glory we’ll not be able to talk about our headache, arthritis, or lumbago or anything else due to pain. Isaiah 33:24 says the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick. Ye worship ye know not what. John 4:22 Jesus said to the woman your problem is you just don’t know what youlre worshiping. Now according to the Bible it is possible to believe in vain. It is possible to worship in vain. Jesus said to a group of people, in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. Matthew 15:9. We seem to be living in a day when people have never been more mixed up, confused and frustrated over religion. I believe it is time we need to just open the word of God and never change and I believe the plan of salvation is the same as it has always been. You don’t have to carry that load of sin. You can be made a new. 2 Corinthians. and go to a place you can live in a body that will be sin-proof, age-proof, disease-proof and even death-proof? We shall be like him.
