The Prophet Isaiah sent us a word that is very important to us and has many facets. He said “Prepare ye the way of the Lord and make His paths straight. He said it two times. Not only did Isaiah tell us but it is also recorded in Matthew, Mark and Luke. What does it mean? Does it still apply today?
The most important application is in the soon coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He’s coming very soon for His Church, His Bride. It will happen in an instant of time and all true Christians will be caught up to be with Him. We will meet Him in the air. The time to get ready is now for when He comes there will be no negotiating or playing around. Be ready!
The term “prepare ye the way of the Lord” can reach farther into our lives than just the Rapture of the Church. If you are going to church you ought to prepare yourself and come rejoicing for He said that where two or three are gathered in His name that He will be there also.
If you are in need of healing in your body, you need to prepare to be healed. We know the Lord wants to believe Him and walk by faith. Faith doesn’t come instantly nor easily but if we do what the Word declares, it will come. Faith comes by hearing. It does not come by listening or memorizing but by hearing what God is speaking to us. If you need healing, you should be studying what the Bible says about healing and meditate on it until it becomes alive in your spirit. All through the New Testament we see that Jesus spent a lot of time healing people. The book of Exodus tells us that God is the healer. Prepare ye the way of the Lord.
Perhaps your need is financial. Then, you need to see what the Bible says about prosperity and do what it says. You not only need to know that it is the will of God but you may also need to sow a seed. Oak trees begin as a seed. However, no matter how good the seed, if it is not planted it will not grow and become what it was designed to be. Prepare ye the way of the Lord.
If you need peace you need to learn and do what the Bible says. 1Pe 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. If you don’t do what the Bible says you can’t expect to have what the Bible says. Prepare ye the way of the Lord.
