No one knows the hour and no one knows the day, but just as surely as it is recorded in the Word of God: Jesus is coming. Who is He coming for? Why is He coming?
Jesus is coming for the Church. No, I am not speaking about denominations and it is not everybody who professes to be a Christian that is going to be with Him. We call it the rapture but in the Bible it is called the catching away. 1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. The word rapture is not in the Biblical text. Wearing a cross around your neck doesn’t save you. You must be cleansed by the blood of Jesus.
Why is Jesus coming? He is coming to gather the children of God and take them to Heaven to live forever. God wants a family and the only way He could have one was if they were cleansed of sin. Only the blood of Jesus could bring that about. In the Old Testament they presented the blood of a lamb to cover their sins for another year. Jesus coming as the Lamb of God shed His blood once on Calvary’s cross for all mankind who would believe the Bible and repent of their sins and ask Jesus to come into their heart.
When is He coming? Only the Father knows. However, we are told that there will be signs of His coming that we may know the time is near. Israel is a tremendous sign. After centuries of non existence Israel is again a nation. Even the Hebrew language, which was dead, is alive and well.
Evil men will become worse and worse and children will be disrespectful of their parents. Men will be lovers of themselves more than lovers of God. There will be a great falling away (pastors quitting and churches closing).
People used to be anxious to get to church and now they are anxious to get home. Marriage used to be a covenant but now it has become a convenience. Children used to be the joy of a relationship and all too often now it is an inconvenience that has led many to the abortion clinics where doctors murder the blessing of the Lord. When is Jesus coming? Soon!
