In His infinite wisdom, God has given us a plan that brings forth a time of harvest.
Some things are ready for harvest in early summer and others in the late fall. Whether it is tomato’s, turnips, walnut trees or corn; it is programmed in them to produce a harvest that brings forth increase and reproduction.
Are we different? Everything depends on seed. When the seed is planted it knows its purpose. Grow and reproduce. Whether it is an acorn, a grain of corn, a member of the animal kingdom or a human being; God’s plan of reproduction and increase works.
Let’s look at another area of harvest time. The words of our mouth or the thoughts of our mind produce a harvest as well. If you sow seeds of anger, bitterness, unforgiveness or hate you will also reap a harvest. Those seeds will also reproduce and bring a harvest. They will drive people away from you and as you continue to exploit those hostilities they will bring you much pain and grief. As you continue to harbor those thoughts they will cause you to be blind and deaf. What is the answer? God’s Word tells us to forgive those who has caused us hurt. It doesn’t hinge on who was right or wrong but on keeping our heart open and walking in love. God’s Word tells us that if we will not forgive one another He will not forgive us. Mt 6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. It is clear; God does not change and we would be wise to do what He says if we want to be forgiven ourselves. You may say that no one knows how much they hurt me. True. That doesn’t change God’s Word nor His position in the slightest. He stills requires forgiveness.
On the other hand; when you walk in love and forgiveness even when someone speaks lies or evil against you it will come to naught. Your heart will be at peace and your honor intact. Sowing good seed will produce a good harvest.
Integrity and honesty are worthy seeds and they will produce a good crop.
The choice is ours. Remember we all have sinned at some point. We all need to be forgiven sometimes. We all need God’s grace and His mercy. Our seeds will determine our harvest. Choose wisely. Be blessed and not cursed. God loves you.
Maranatha!
