Isa 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Through the prophets, kings, apostles, and scribes God has spoken. What He said is recorded in the Holy Bible. There are things that please God and things that do not please Him. God doesn’t change. What He said He meant and what He meant He said. God’s plan and purposes were set in place long before you and I got here. All He said will come to pass. You can be on either side of that. It can be a blessing for you or a curse unto you. He gave you the power to choose. Ignorance is not an excuse. He gave us His Word. Can we come up against something that is impossible for us to do? Certainly. But, when we are connected with God through Jesus Christ; that changes everything because the Word of God says in Phil. 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Notice that it says “through Christ.” That is the difference. If it is the will of God and you are living by faith Jesus said in Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. The Word is true but are you true to the Word?
You may say “I tried that and it doesn’t work for me.” You have it backwards. You don’t try the Word, the Word tries you. If you have built up your faith through the Word of God and do what it says, consistently, it will work. But, you have to believe, speak to the situation and be in a relationship with Jesus that gives glory to God. Speaking of the Word of God one of two things is certain. Either God told the truth or God lied. Either God is able or God is not. I choose to believe God. With you and me: we might miss it and perhaps have many times. We may have doubted, wavered, misunderstood the Word, been ignorant of what God said, been bound in fear or just quit before it happened. We’ve all missed it. We’ve all come short of the glory of God. But remember, God is the author of His Word and He hold Himself accountable for what He said.
What if you fail? All that means is that you failed. It isn’t the first time. At least you tried. It doesn’t make you a failure unless you quit and give up. Even the best and most gifted athletes have failed more than once or twice. Failure should be a learning experience. It tells you what didn’t work and once you figure out why, you won’t make that mistake again. Get up, look up and don’t give up. God’s Word, when you go God’s way and do what God says will never fail. Ro 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 1Jo 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Are you up to the challenge?
