Isa 55:11, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
God cannot lie. His Word is eternal and has creative power. He doesn’t change. Jer. 4:28 I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it. Mt 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Those are powerful words. They are the words that are stirred in the heart and mind of God and have been released for all to see. God cannot change. His words are activated by faith and action. That doesn’t mean it is easy. No, it is a challenge. The devil (Satan) will do all he can to make sure you do not believe. It’s easy to doubt. It’s easy to question. It’s easy to walk away and say it doesn’t work for me. However, it’s not easy to take hold of the Word of God when you have no physical evidence, cannot see how it could happen and the devil badgers you telling you that you are not worthy and it isn’t for you anyway.
It’s not easy to row the boat upstream against the current when everyone else is just flowing with the current (crowd).
Looking at the man, Noah faced an impossible task and it took him 100 years to finish it. Moses had to step beyond his ability to do what God asked him to do. Abraham and Sarah looked at each other and said “no way.” God said just watch and believe. David was a first class shepherd but it took God to make him a king. The prophet couldn’t even speak an opinion when he looked at the valley of dry bones. He just said to God you know, I don’t.
It takes faith that goes beyond what you can see to believe God. It takes faith that goes beyond what you can fathom to please God. It takes faith that will step out on what seems like nothing and refuse to waiver. It takes faith that looks beyond the challenge and just looks at God and declares through action that I believe. It doesn’t say “I believe in me”, it says “I believe in God”. I accept what He says and I trust His faithfulness. I refuse to rely on my ability, my education or my intellect. In faith in God and His Word I stand and I’m just going to praise Him now for His grace and mercy.
Maranatha!
