But of that day and hour knoweth no man, noHave you ever stopped to think how important it is to have certain things recorded? In our state, most license you obtain require they are recorded. It is vital for a deed to property to be recoreded. If you buy a preprty and borrow money, the back will record the mortgage on it. The record is the evience of transaction which has occurred. It is public and it is proof. There were seventy followers of Jesus Christ who returned to him with great amazement. And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord even the devils are subject unto us through thy name, Luke 10:17. No wonder they were thrilled. They were enjoying the power he had given to them through his name. We would have been excited too. However, Jesus gives them a word of caution. While it great to be eyewitness to these things we should never forget the main thing. Jesus said, not with standing in this rejoice not that the spirits are subject unto you but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven, Luke 10:20. With all the great things we see the Lord do for each one of us nothing is more important than salvation? Jesus also reminds them that they not only have life but also their name is written in Heaven.
It is referred to as the Lamb’s Book of Life, Revelation 13:8, 21:27, 20:15. There is a record of our of our name when we are born again. We may not always do the things we would like to do but we still rejoice because of our name is written down. It is wonderful we know when we were born again but we still to let others know too. Christianity does not begin with religious views and notions. It comes as a new life as regeneration, conversion, and sanctification, set apart from the profane and made holy for holy use. It releases humanity from the guilt and power of sin and put us in a right relationship with God. Jesus Christ calls himself the way, the truth and the life. Remember, The only thing you can really control in this life is your own mental attitude. As a christian, I have an endless hope not a hopeless end. Enjoy the little things one day you may look back and realize they were the big things. Rejoice because your name is recorded or written in Heaven in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
