Zora “Monk” Hall

Zora “Monk” Hall, 89, departed this life on March 3, 2023, at Clay Health Care Center in Ivydale, WV, where she has lived the last seven months. She was born April 7, 1933 and was a long-time resident of Anderson Heights Apartments in Maysel, WV. 

Zora was preceded in death by her husbands Clifford Durham and Charlie Woods and Melvin Hall; two daughters, Brenda Durham-Loudermilk, Marilyn Woods Kock; her parents and her siblings.

Monk is survived by four grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Monk had two very special people in her life including longtime friend and caregiver Debbie Procious and niece Shirley Gray.

A service for Monk was held on March 6, 2023, at Wilson Smith Funeral Home in Clay with a visitation from 11:00 to 12:00. Burial followed in the Woods Family Cemetery in Lilly, WV with preacher John R. Osborne officiating. 

Wilson Smith is honored to be serving the Hall family.
