Ashtabula, OH– Velma Louise Starcher, age 73 of Ashtabula died at home on Wednesday, August 20, 2014.
Born December 31, 1940 in Clay County WV, she was the daughter of Ford and Dorma (Falls) Deems.
Survivors include her husband, Loren Starcher of Ashtabula; daughters Charlotte (Robin) Hoefert of Ashtabula, Sharon (Harry) Myers of Arizona, Shelly (Steven) Spring of Ashtabula, Patricia Griggs of Ashtabula and Lisa (Danny) Eden of Conneaut; son, Randy (Diane) Starcher of Ashtabula; grandchildren, Sabrina Kirk, Alex and Andrew Kirk, Joe Roth Jr., Jeremy Wetherbee, Jessica Spring, Sheena Fourqurean, Alicia Spring, Brette Cox, Savanna Bassett, Heather Eden and Zac and Aaron Starcher; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lizzie Hanshaw of Clay County, WV; Sylvy Runnion of Ashtabula, Gildy Runnion of Ashtabula, and Chessie Deems and Emma Deems both of Clay County; Jimmy Deems of Mount Vernon, OH and William Deems of Ashtabula.
She was preceded in death by their daughter, Shelia Kirk; her parents; brother, Ernie Deems and a sister Alice Jones.
Graveside Service was held at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Oakdale Cemetery in Jefferson.
