Lizemores– Susan Ann (Price) Backus, 62, of Lizemores, entered into rest Thursday, November 17, 2016.
Born June 1, 1954, in Gauley Bridge, she was the daughter of the late Harold Lloyd and Helen Pauline (Bird) Price.
She was a member of the Fairview Baptist Temple in Clay.
Susan is survived by her husband, Jimmy Backus of Lizemores; son, Philip (Sierra) Backus of Lizemores; daughter, Megan (Anthony) Boggs of Big Otter; two granddaughters, Sophia and Adalyn; step-father, Elmer Dawson of Bentree; brothers, Lloyd Price of Lafayette, LA, Jarrell Price of Mocksville, NC , Kenneth Price of Lizemores, James Price of Pinch and Danny Price of Lizemores; sisters Danette Bostic of Sutton and Denese Atha of Bentree.
Funeral service was held at 2 P.M. Monday, November 21, 2016, at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay, with Minister Mike Long and Minister Bret Wiley officiating. Burial followed in Ramsey Cemetery, Bell Creek.
