Michael David Morton

Michael David Morton I, 63, of Fayetteville, entered into rest Monday, November 5, 2018.
Born March 18, 1955, in Dixie, he is the son of the late John and Mary (Elswick) Morton. In addition to his parents Michael was also preceded in death by his sister Barbara Helmic.
Michael is survived by his wife of 26 years, Deborah Chaney Morton; four sons and four daughters; brother John Morton; sisters Joan Akers, Linda Slack, Ruthie Nicholas and Mary West; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Friday, November 9, at the Bell Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Dixie, with Minister Shane Wynn officiating. Burial followed in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Victor.
Friends gathered with family one hour prior to the service at the church.
