Clay, WV — Mernie Ann Osborne, 79, of Clay, entered into rest Thursday, July 21, 2016.
Born May 22, 1937, in Clay, she was the daughter of the late Randolph Bib and Marilda (Neal) Osborne. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Vance, John, Forrest and Clem Osborne; sisters, Velia Osborne and Ruth Woofter; sister-in-law, Marg Osborne; brother-in-law, Joe Jones.
She was a retired custodian from the Clay County Courthouse. Ann was an original member and cast of “Solomon Secret,” the history drama of Cherokee Indian heritage of the Osborne family.
Ann is survived by her sons, John Randolph (Tracy) Osborne of Clay, and Gregory Todd (Amy) Osborne of Fola; daughters, Dwana Murphy of Clay and Stacy (Jamie) King of Ovapa; grandchildren, J.C. Cooper, Micah and Megan Osborne, Carly and Kami Osborne, Dylan Murphy and Emma King; brother, Homer Osborne of Bickmore; and sisters, Mary Jones of Bickmore; and a very special lifelong friend Barb Mays.
Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Sunday, July 24, 2016, at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay, with ministers Herb Vance and John R. Osborne officiating. Burial was in Holcomb Cemetery, Indore.
