Maxine G. Starcher, 84, of Seville, OH, passed away Friday, November 10, 2017, at West View Healthy Living in Wooster, Ohio.
Maxine was born April 5, 1933, to James and Faye (Metheney) Eagle in Duck, West Virginia. She grew up working on the family farm. She married Roscoe Starcher on November 29, 1950, and was a devoted wife for more than 63 years. After they moved to Ohio in the winter of 1950, Maxine worked for the Nabisco Brands Company in Seville, Ohio until her retirement. She enjoyed serving her family and her church.
Maxine was a founding member of the Advent Christian Church of Seville, Ohio where she served in many capacities. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Maxine is survived by her daughter Norma (Gary) Fath of West Salem; grandchildren Amy (Ronald) Hamilton of Seville, Kelly (Jordan) Beebe of New Philadelphia, Kevin (Linnae) Fath of Takoma Park, Maryland, Becky (Daniel) Miller of Wooster; great-grandchildren Ethan, Noah and Roscoe Hamilton and Adalyn, Brooklyn, and Camdyn Beebe; and sisters-in-law Hilda Douglas of Wadsworth and Nell Starcher of Creston.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe on July 7, 2014, parents, James and Faye, and brother, Calvin.
Services were held Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston, with John Murray officiating. Burial followed in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Seville.
