Creston, OH – Mary L. Nottingham, 83, of Creston, OH, died Monday, July 11, 2016 at her residence after a three year battle with ovarian cancer.
Mary was born in Ohley, WV, on May 2, 1933, to the late Silas and Lenna (Carte) Davis. She married William Spencer Nottingham on April 13, 1953, and he preceded her in death on March 27, 2014.
She had lived the past 40 years in Creston having previously had lived in Seville, Strongsville and Cleveland, OH. She enjoyed walking, sewing quilts, traveling to West Virginia and Florida and her favorite thing to do was talking on the telephone.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Spencer; grandson, Jason Stanley; sisters, Ruby Lupton, Jean Hinte, Kathleen McCoy, and Lucy McKinney and brothers, Orrville, Russell, Jimmy, and Ray Davis.
She is survived by her children, Judy (Frank) Lach of Geneva, OH, Cathy (Clay) Stanley of Creston, Larry Nottingham of Creston and Jeanne Nottingham of Millstone, WV; grandchildren, Jeremy, Julie, and Kelly Goodman, Joey Lach, Michael Stanley, Kyle, Cody, Tyler and Mary Pittman; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Chapman of Seville, OH, Margaret (Verlin) Adams of Ivydale, WV; brother, Dennis Davis of Yulee, FL; sister-in-law, Garnet Davis of Wallback, WV and brother-in-law Hally Nottingham of Strongsville, OH.
