Fola, WV – Marjorie Lee Lane, 84, of Fola, WV went to be with the Lord o Friday, June 6, 2014. She was surrounded by her loved ones in the comfort of her own home.
Marjorie was born in Fola on November 1, 1929 to the late Roy and Maysel Price. She was a devoted Christian and member of Fola Missionary Baptist Church. After driving the Headstart bus for several years in Bickmore, Marjorie became a stay-at-home mother to her twelve children, 33 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her loving parents, Marjorie is preceded in death by her son, William “Scott” Lane; sister, Wanda Taylor; and a granddaughter, Vanessa Daniel.
Marjorie is survived by her husband of 67 years, William “Bernard” Lane; along with eleven children, Monna Sue Daniel and husband, Connie of Keyser, Jeanette Franklin of Fola, Eldis Lane of Clay, Mike Lane and wife, Nancy of Jodie, Denice Holcomb and husband, Larry of Bickmore, Cheryl Moore and husband, Allen of Lizemores, Bruce Lane and wife, Sandra of Clendenin, Brad Lane and Donna Pritt of Indore, Tony Lane and wife, Drema of Princeton, Neal Lane and wife, Jill of High Point, NC, and Teresa Nesler and husband, Garret of Holmen, WI; three sisters, Aileen Mink of Fola, Annetta Knapp of Havelock, NC, Gail Dunn of Fola; three brothers, Shannon Price of Canton, OH, Tom Price of Clay, and Arnold Price of Massillon, OH.
The family would like to extend a warm thank you to Hospice Care, Girling Home Health, and Central Aging for all of the loving care and support provided during this difficult time.
Friends were received at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay, on Sunday June 8, 2014 from 6pm to 9pm. The funeral service was held at Fola Missionary Baptist Church on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 11am with Pastor Daniel Tanner officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Bickmore.
