Clay, WV – Linsey Jolene Cruickshanks, 31, of Clay, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 5, 2016, as a result of an automobile accident.
Linsey was a graduate of Clay County High School and attended Glenville State College. She worked for the Bank of Gassaway and Michael Motor Company, but for the past four years, Linsey devoted her life to her young son. She attended Liberty Advent Christian Church at Twistabout.
Linsey is survived by her fiancé Jeremy “Jake” Pierson and their son Brody Levi Pierson of Clay; father and stepmother, Benjamin and Carolyn Cruickshanks; mother and stepfather, Linna and Michael Singleton all of Gassaway; beloved brother, Benjamin Joel “BJ” Cruickshanks and his wife Andrea of Procious; two stepbrothers, Jeremy Grubb of Chesterfield, VA; and Jordan Grubb of Rosedale; grandmothers, Euna Marie Cruickshanks of Harrison and Rebecca Adkins of Dog Run; several aunts, uncles and cousins, along with two special nephews, Joel and Brice Cruickshanks and one special niece, Chloe Nicole Cruickshanks.
Linsey was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Everett Ray Cruickshanks and Reverend Darrell Adkins
Funeral service was 1:00 P.M. Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay, with Minister John Casey officiating. Burial was in Cruickshanks Cemetery, Harrison.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the college fund of Brody Levi Pierson, at the Premier Bank.
