Summersville — Linda Gay Copen, 58, of Summersville, died Thursday March 30, 2017, at Mt. Lake Park in Maryland. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Beatrice Cottrell Cain and was born at Widen December 24, 1958. She was a photographer.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Angie Copen; and two sisters Janice Brady and Thelma Sears.
Surviving are two sons, Terrell Burdette of Maryland and Travis Copen of Clay; daughter, Gelinda Skaggs, of Newton; brother, Roy Sears of Summersville; sisters, Carol Burns of Maryland, Barbara Green of Ohio, and Teresa Good of North Carolina; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends called from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at the Waters Funeral Chapel in Summersville. Burial followed in the Douglas Cemetery at Ivydale.
