Ledra Leigh Tanner passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026. She was born on December 11, 1946, in Clay, WV.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Kinnear, her son, Steven A. Yeater, her mother, Phyllis M. Tanner, and her sister, Patricia A. Amos.

Most recently, Ledra made her home in Converse, TX, where she lived with her daughter Karin and son-in-law Emmanuel Williams. Prior to that, she resided in Belpre, OH, where she built a life filled with family, hard work and deep community ties.

Ledra was a multi-talented and determined woman who earned her Associate’s Degree and pursued her passions with dedication. She worked as a manager for Big Lots and later was the proud owner of Lee’s Frame Shop, where her creativity and entrepreneurial spirit shined. She had a lifelong love of reading and treasured books of all kinds, always eager to learn and explore new stories.

Above all, Ledra’s greatest joy was her family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She is survived by her daughter, Karin (Emmanuel) Williams; her granddaughters, Jenna Duckworth, and Tessa (Chris) Becker; her grandson, Kaelan Yeater; and her three great-grandchildren, Nolan, Carsen, and Waylon. She is also survived by her sisters, Linda Foss, Mary Farris, June Tanner, and Lisa Tanner; and brothers, Ed Tanner, Bob Tanner, and Kevin Tanner, and several nieces and nephews. She leaves behind her beloved dog, Buckey, who brought her constant companionship and comfort.

Ledra’s life was a beautiful example of resilience, generosity, and unwavering love. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, caring spirit, and devotion to her family. Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the many memories she gave us and the legacy of love she leaves behind.

Cremation was entrusted to The Heart of Texas. A memorial service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Parkersburg, WV, Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 1:00 pm with Reverend Geoffrey Mackey officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
