Larry James McDonald, 78, of Mt. Zion, WV passed away June 7, 2024 at Minnie Hamilton Hospital in Grantsville.
Larry was born January 13, 1946 in Grantsville and was the son of the late Ralph and Ethel Stemple McDonald.
Larry was a retired mechanic from Chevrolet. He enjoyed working on cars and computers, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his three children, Charles “Charlie” McDonald, Tonya McDonald both from Youngstown, OH and Crystal Swanson (Adrian) of Las Vegas, NV; six brothers, twin brother Ralph McDonald (Naomi) of Canton, OH, Marvin McDonald of Canton, Delford McDonald (Shelby) of Grantsville, Lawrence McDonald (Vali) of New Philadelphia, OH, John McDonald (Vicki) of Canton and Virgil “Lee” McDonald (Reva) of Kingsman, AZ; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Fisher McDonald; two children, Wanda McDonald and Larry James McDonald, II; and siblings, an infant brother, Veda McDonald, Mildred McDonald, William Watkins, Jr., Troy McDonald, Norman McDonald.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 A.M. ~ Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, WV with Pastor Jackie Roberts officiating.
