Larry Gene Davis, 66, of Birch River, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017 at his residence.

He was born October 5, 1951 in Sutton, WV to the late Gene and Mona Cutlip Davis.

Larry worked in the coal industry for over 42 years and retired as a Maintenance Manager for Brooks Run Coal Company, he also worked in the Rebuild Shop. Larry was a member of Stump Chapel Baptist Church, Tesla.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Judith Armentrout Davis; daughters, Rebecca Davis of Cross Lanes, Laura Davis of St. Albans; brother, Gary Davis (Ginger) of Summersville; sisters, Sherry Rose (Rodney) of Little Birch, Terri Asbury (Brad) of Birch River, Carrie Beth Davis (Jeremy Butcher) of Dille; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Michael & Eula McCourt of Sarahsville, OH; grandsons, Matthew Payne, Ethan Weaver and Cole Weaver.

Funeral services were held 1:00 pm, Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Greene-Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton with Rev. Bobbie Dale Harper and Rev. Jerry Hayhurst officiating. Burial followed at Cutlip Cemetery, Birch River. Friends called 6-9 pm, Monday, November 13, at the funeral home.
