Karen Sue Rogers, 72, of Left Hand, WV, died Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the Clay Healthcare Center, Ivydale, WV.
She was born April 4, 1951, at Parkersburg, WV, the daughter of the late Darrell and Maxine Moore Scott.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and Rodney Scott; and son-in-law, Randy Drake.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Ray Rogers of Left Hand; daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Randal Tanner of Duck, WV; son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Debi Rogers of Left Hand; grandchildren, who were the light of her life, Nathan Drake and Logan (McKenzie) Drake both of Left Hand; step grandson, Matthew (Jennifer) Tanner of Duck; brothers and sisters, John (Pam) Scott of Akron, OH, Sharon Rogers of Barberton, OH, Steve Scott, Connie Smith, and Sherry Scott also of Barberton, Donna (Muhamund) Ahmed of West Palm Beach, Fla., Darlene (Bobby) Palmer of Rittman, OH, Darrell (Jill) Scott of Clinton, OH; sister-in-law, Janet Scott of Akron; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Karen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Epling Chapel Baptist Church, Looneyville, WV.
Her pastimes included listening to music, (the Bee Gees were her favorites), singing, and spending time with her family.
A graveside service was held on Monday, March 11 at 1:00 p.m. at the Moore Fork Cemetery, Ossia, V., with the Rev. Lester Tanner officiating. There will be no visitation.
