Gerald Webster Cummings, 76, of Procious, entered into rest on Tuesday, February 26, 2019.
Born on October 1, 1942, in a log house on Pumpkin Ridge in Clay County, he was the son the late Albert and Ethel Marie (McCune) Cummings. In addition to his parents, Gerald was also preceded in death by his sister, Ellen Marie Runion.
Gerald is survived by Robert “Buddy” Runion and Louise Runion of Procious. He always said that Bubby was his brother and Louise was his sister-in-law. Gerald was very much loved. He was also survived by several kids and adults that called him “Uncle Gerald” and he loved each and every one of them. He is survived by his best friend, his dog Brownie, which he loved.
Gerald will be greatly missed by family and friends.
His family would like to say thank you to Oak Ridge Nursing Home, Charleston for taking such good care of Gerald in his last days.
A funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, at Wilson-Smith Funeral Home, Clay, with Rev. Bob Brown officiating. Burial followed in the Cummings Cemetery in Procious.
Friends gathered with family prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
