Bickmore, WV – Forrest Osborne, 91 of Bickmore went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston. He was born May 23, 1923 to the late Randolph Bib and Marilda Neal Osborne. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Ricky, and brothers, Vance and John Osborne. He was a member of the Clay First Baptist Church and was involved in the Solomon’s Secret Outdoor Drama as the Chief for the past 15 years. He also was a Army Veteran of World War II, a retired coal miner for Majestic Mining and was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting and Ginsanging. He enjoyed playing the guitar, dobro and fiddle.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Givens Osborne of Meadowbrook Acres Nursing Facility, Meadowbrook; son, Rocky and Rachel Osborne of Bickmore; daughter, Lucinda Toon of Charleston; brothers, Homer and Clem Osborne; sisters, Ruth Woofter, Ann Osborne and Mary Jones; grandchildren, Adam and Natalie Osborne, Amanda and Stanley Souder, Andrew and Charity Osborne, Anthony and Kerri Osborne, Abraham and Holly Osborne, Avery Osborne and Jessica Toon; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Adrian, Layton, Colton and Isabella. Funeral Services were 2:00 pm Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Clay First Baptist Church with Minister, Rocky Osborne officiating. There was no prior visitation.
